I bought gas yesterday. $4.09 for a gallon gas. Yep you read it correct.
San Diego has the highest gas prices in the country. I guess its the punishment for choosing to live here. FOUR DOLLARS AND NINE CENTS!! Its no secret we are on the way to 5 bucks a gallon or more. Europe has been dealing with the gas crunch a lot longer than we have. When I saw the prices there last fall I thought, well at least we're not there yet. That gap closed too quick. I worked a gas station when I was 16 years old. Gas cost 25 cents a gallon then. Customers raised holy hell with me, the kid pumping gas, when it went up to 27 cents a gallon. I worked that job when the country did odd even rationing . Nixon was the President. I learned a lot about people working that job, good and bad. Things could get pretty ugly but I never quit. I needed the money to buy gear so I could play music. I think I made $3 buck an hour. I thought it was good money. That was all that matter to me at the time. Buying that snare drum or cymbal at 8th street music. or at Benny's in Northeast Philly like all my other pals did in the day.
For all the greatness the USA has to offer we are so in the tank. I should be glad I own a few bikes. I hope some one can turn this country around. I'm an optimistic person and believe it will happen. I'm not the most patient though. So if you read my blog. Vote.. We need a change.
Sam just got home from school. I'm sitting here typing a blog. He has a swim meet this afternoon. We'll be there. He's warming up by listening/blasting Pantera and Crazy Train by Ozzi . It mellows him out. His room is pulsing. Did I do that when I 17?? Yeah I did. It's his last year of high school. He's going to school in Arizona U of A and I'll miss moments like this very one. I'm just hanging in my living room and he's in there rockin'. My dog Aussie ate a star fish the other day.. He's a dog, don't ask. He's laying in front of of me not a care in the world. I want to be a dog. I think my dog is part pig.. He's got the worst case of gas and he's really letting me have it. Also, it is hot here today. In the 90's. Nice day and I'll get over the gas thing. Don't know about Aussie's. That poor star fish.

Wow, $4.09 for a gallon gas, this would be great. We pay $8,87 for a gallon. And I hate it...
Sometimes I want to be a dog too, but eat a star fish? Ewwwwww...
